Cool Mist On Mountain High
Cool mist on mountain high
We could have almost touched the sky
Beside the light that Venus shed
Where I had come to rest my weary head
Orion whispered in the night
Beneath the stars of that shone so bright
Was I brought here by mere whim or chance?
As Jupiter stood there in its stance
Among the stars as they came out to dance
Saturn fills my heart with hope
As l look upon its moons within my scope
Velveteen the sliver rope, which I held within my hand
For here I stand a simple man
Before the grace of gods master plan
Is there a chance I’ll ever understand?
While I pondered this heavenly sight
Where the moon seem to hang there in the night
Was I lost within this state of natural wonder?
Beside the sounds of distant thunder
