Endeavour

Dead calm upon the pacific ocean
White sails drift beneath the southern skies
The setting sun sinks to the west
As the stars appear like pin holes in the night

Heading to new england many miles away
The southern cross is in the sky
To show them all the way
Sea breezes carrying their hopes upon the wind
A misty surface upon the ocean
The endeavour inches forward a little more each day

A storm on the horizon is out towards the east
As endeavour set her sails to catch the wind
Whitewash the pounding of the waves
Upon endeavours hull creaking of the baffles
As the motion of a wave moves from port
Then starboard once again rolling by the ship

Amidst the bitter cold life upon an ocean
Adventure is blowing in the wind
Lightening flashes down under scattered spirits
Of the endeavour carried upon the wind
