It started along time ago when you gazed upon each other
That very first night when your love came to life

You have been through the hard times
And yet your love has still survived
You've been each others shelter from the pouring rain
You have been each others warmth upon the coldest night

You have been the best mother and father
And a great husband and wife
And your sons and daughters love you
You have been an inspiration in all of their lives

Your grandchildren love you just the same
And your great grand kids think you're the best
Thing since sliced bread

On this your fiftieth wedding anniversary
There's something we would like to say
You have been an inspiration to us all and it's nice
To see your love has never changed after all this time
You still feel the same when look at each other
