Flight Of The Storm
Squalling winds that tap upon your window tight
Beneath the seed of flashing light
As thunder roared and lightening flashed
The mighty crack and then a crash
As branches fell among the trees
Caught within the swirling breeze
Knuckle down beneath the thunder
Frightening yet it makes you wonder
As the leaves passed swiftly through the streets
Dashing passed your very feet
With a moments lapse and then a flash
Raindrops fell within this squalling mass
Dashing all that came it's way
Beneath a sea of darkening grey
That swept the fallen leaves away
Light rain at first, then driving hard
That swept across your very yard
As daylight slipped into the night, trashing going on outside
Might of given you fright, if it wasn't for your light
While hail fell within the dark
That sounded like your beating heart| Poetry 1 | Poetry 2 | Poetry 3 | Poetry 4 || Poetry 5 | Poetry 6 | Poetry 7 | Poetry 8 |
