Fools Step With Feeble Toes

Solitude beneath the stars so near and yet so far away what light waits beyond the grey and what is there to mark the day

Fools Step With Feeble Toes

Solitude beneath the stars
So near and yet so far away
What light waits beyond the grey
And what is there to mark the day

Seize my heart with outstretched hands
That reaches above this barren land
Fools step with feeble toes
Never knowing which way to go

Falsely accused where now I wait
Beside the seal of heavens gate
Where angels place food upon my plate
But was I a fool to sit and wait

Question this and answer when
On this my oath you can depend
I know there is no way for you to understand
Out stretched I rest my open hand

What burdened roads give way to faith
Where are the temples resting place
Forged from stone but still they waste
Beside the light of heavens faith
