I Felt The Passage Of My Tears
Striving passage of my years
I felt the passage of my tears
Warm tears shed by my frozen heart
With these hollow breaths I felt it start
The quest that dwells beneath the skin
Where I had left my fellow kin
There was no way to say farewell
They had me underneath their spell
And even when the well ran deep
I couldn’t ease my pain with my sleep
Thoughts eluded my state of mind
And yet I enjoyed killing time
Hours pass with a blink of an eye
And all I seemed do was cry
Tears that mark the pillowcase
Left ripples on my tired face
So solemn was my own content
And yet I lived with much regret| Poetry 1 | Poetry 2 | Poetry 3 | Poetry 4 || Poetry 5 | Poetry 6 | Poetry 7 | Poetry 8 |
