Walking Among These Endless Streets

Aimlessly I walk among these endless streets scraping the dust from upon my feet beneath the shadow of flint and stone for in the world I walk alone

Walking Among These Endless Streets

Aimlessly I walk among these endless streets
Scraping the dust from upon my feet
Beneath the shadow of flint and stone
For in the world I walk alone

Beggars meet beside the fires
Warmed beside their old desires
Admittedly they said the street were paved with gold
Now they’ve grown so bitter and cold

There was a whisper in the mist
Beyond the light of summers kiss

Absorbed within these abstract thoughts
Was I thwarted by my own desires?
Beside the flame I felt my heart
Behind my eyes where my tears depart

Aimlessly I walk the streets
Stamping snow from upon my feet
Listening to the endless beat
While the wind blows through endless streets
