If I burned A Thousand Candles

Intimate within each and every waking hour my hearts pines for you when things go sorrow longing to feel your gentle kiss like two lovers hidden in the mist

If I burned A Thousand Candles

Intimate within each and every waking hour
My hearts pines for you when things go sorrow
Longing to feel your gentle kiss
Like two lovers hidden in the mist

For if I burned a thousand candles
Beneath a sea of celestial light
Would you surrender your body to me upon this sacred night

I feel my heart beat flutter, like gentle sweeping rain
And in my heart you will remain
What light could burn a thousand years
That could bind me to your beautiful tears

No words I utter when you are near
For I appreciate it when you are here
Warm yourself beside my body's heat
And let me kiss your delicate feet

Sensual beauty, oh how I honour thee
Beside the tide of this changing sea
Beneath the sea of celestial light
I will hold you tight
Till we awaken in the morning light
