Liberty
As we watched in horror as the twins began to fall
The world would change forever with the signing of the flame
As we remember those who have fallen by the way
We should hold our heads with pride as we honor the sacrifice
They made upon that darkest of days
And from the dust and ashes
It was liberty and justice that prevailed
As the human spirit filled us with compassion
And it is with the human spirit
As we rose above adversity
With heads held up high, we will reach for the heavens
Where the wild eagle soars with liberty in their hearts
They stood tall with their heads held high
We remember those who carried the human spirit
With pride as they moved forward
In a world of ever changing circumstance
As we remember those who have fallen
As the twin towers crumbled away upon the darkest day
