Like Strangers
So serene beneath the stars this night
Shimmering light by which the moon is light
Watch over us upon this night
Lead your hand to the fellowship of man
That rest upon this weary land
As we pass like strangers in the night
Remove the hatred from our sight
As twilight fades beneath the gray
These a silky haze within the maze
Beset by stone, besieged by light
But are we truly lost within the maze
By which we mend, by foolish hearts
And foolish hands
Are we like strangers free from sight
Basking in the still of night
