Loneliness

For within the depths
Of my loneliness
I long to feel your kiss
Hasten now my beating heart

Before my tears depart this place
Is desperation written in my face
Where there is fear why do I hesitate

I've held back the gates of heaven
With the notion that I'm not too late
I've had enough, now sort it out
I'm tired of living with this doubt

Hollow like a broken shell
Is this place what's known as a living hell
Is there hope left in this heart of mine
Is it you I see each time I shut my eyes

Loneliness your sacred kiss
I am waiting here beside the mist
Quivering with these weeping eyes
Are you trying to seek me out
