Martian Sunset

Purple Clouds drift slowly across
The heavens in the martian sky
With the dust storms to the west
It lays claim the landscape
As I look out over the horizon
I see the mighty mount olympus
Resting quietly below the Martian sky

The beauty of the landscape
As the setting sun fades out of sight
As the purple clouds drift by slowly
In the evening martian sky

As they give their blessing to the martian soil
In a land that never changes
For the rain will turn to ice

For the atmosphere on mars
Leaves a mystery of emptiness in my heart
As the sun sinks slowly out on the horizon
And the day becomes the night
