My Evening Star

You are my light when I am in darkness
You are my warmth when I am cold
Forever am I humbled with the feelings that I hold?

By the wings of heavens angels
Where our love has left its mark
You are the one that lights my heaven
You are the one, my evening star

For I remember that first sweet tender kiss
And the light within you eyes
The warmth of you body as you lay
Beside me
In the dead of night

For when the day is long
And my soul departs this place
I will wait forever humbled by our love my darling
Where the footprints leave no mark
