Ode To A Chocolate Bar
Farewell to chocolate truffles alone in the night
Farewell to the almonds nestled from sight
Farewell to cream filling sheltered from light
That basks in your beauty my pure delight
Oh to the cream centres covered in chocolate delight
How I long to hold you in the still of the night
Oh how I miss how the scent that would drip
How you had loved to taste you on my virgin lips
With chocolate cherry meringues, sound the cream cones
And you watch how the people would swam
Unless I was vanquished before your name
And who could hold a candle to your sweet flame
And as for the chocolate drops in the muffin splits
And how is it fair that your essence drips
You rat fink tell me please how could it be
That I now have the burden to be lactose free
