Questions Of Wonder

I have lived in the mountains
I have walked the streets of gold
Driving rains flow to the ocean
Many miles away a distant shoreline
Things are much the same

Hang my coat on the hanger
Put my clothes on the line to dry
A girl stands on the corner
Does she feel any shame

White waves upon an ocean
The tides will always change
Their direction never remains the same
Am I alone or just afraid

I could walk upon the mountain
But would you know my name
If we met upon a train
Moving in the same direction
Is this just a dream or a memory
Of my thoughts from yesterday
