Remember Me In Laughter
Remember me in laughter
As I leave the world I love hereafter
Welcome me with these words
Seldom is our message heardIn the spring time when I am gone
Remember how much I have longed
No few words could be said
Now that my life’s gone and I am deadNo need for tears nor your fears
Now I am happy and god is near
Cherished be those celestial lights
That burns like beacons in the nightRemember me in moonlight
Basking in celestial light
I am the breath that gives you breeze
As it rustles through the leavesWhen days are grim and daylight fades
Remember me in words I carved in clay
Speak in tongues and hear thy words
Seldom is the message heardWhat life I leave, I leave in death
Alas farewell to you Mac Beth
Through the fields where we once played
This is where my body laysHope, I leave within my epitaph
You were always in my heart
Fewer things I’ve said and done
Beneath the light of yonder sun
