Savanna
Grassy plains of the savanna
In the heart land of Africa
Were the wild elephants roam
Sounds of his trumpet lets
Everybody know that this is his homeThe springbok feed off the grasslands
As the lion sits in wait
Peering through the brushes
Waiting for the right moment to make his strikeWhen the springbok sees the danger and jumps to get away
The loin makes his move and this begins the chase
Which ever one is faster will win this final raceThe hippopotamuses watches closely
As he sits there in the lake
The vulture watches closely from his lofty position high above
Hoping in the end that he will get a little tasteThe chimpanzee finds this funny
As he laughs and looks in glee
Watching from high above as he swings in the trees| Poetry 1 | Poetry 2 | Poetry 3 | Poetry 4 || Poetry 5 | Poetry 6 | Poetry 7 | Poetry 8 |
