Shady Haze And Lazy Sundays
Stars dance beyond the speckled sky
Heckled by the clouds as they passed slowly
Twilight fell without a sound
Beneath its veil the sleeping ground
Sunrise came within the blink of an eye
As I bid farewell to the endless night
Awaiting the dawn of the first rays of light
So long and farewell to the stars that shone bright
A light breeze blows among the leaves
As they fell from the trees
Rustling gently among the eves
Beads of dew glisten beside the willow tree
The birds came to feed, what a life to be free
Shady haze and lazy Sundays
Just another thought for the new moon of Monday
As time passed me by, within the blink of an eye
So long and farewell to the clouds passing by
