Softly The Stars Glisten In Light
The sun seemed to slip into the night
As I lost the last rays of light
And the moon glistens out beyond the bay
And there are clouds in the sky a soft darkened gray
And a mist on the horizon vanished in the haze
As the stars dance like they were on parade
Beneath the light of silk serenade
Softly the stars glisten in the light
And there was softness in this beautiful sight
Slightly left of Orion I look up and said
There are thoughts echoing through my head
So why am I humbled beside the sound of the sea
When the heart only knows of my liberty
Mystique be the magical night
Bathed beneath the moon so very bright
Beside the ambient fires that burn
As the earth below me slowly turns
And to feel the sensation of grains of sand
Passing swiftly right through my hands
And there is the hope you might understand
That there are feelings that I would make for a better man
If I could completely comprehend and then understand
