Staring Out Across The Bay

Sitting in Silence staring out across the bay
The stillness of the waters takes my breath away
Mist on the horizon
Uncertainty blowing in upon the winds

The tides of ever changing circumstance
Never knowing were to begin
Save a prayer for the sinners
Salvation is the lesson I have learned

Is it clear my direction
Do I know which way to turn
Am I challenged by the encounters
That I have experienced in life this day

As I stand here in the stillness of the night
Staring out across the bay
Is it the light of distant stars
Showing me the way
Or is it the light of my souls reflection
That drives my hearts ambitions in this world today
