There Was Hope
Solemn passage yesteryear the world was safe
There was no need of fear and doubt
The Beatles sang the words scream and shout
The world responded and screamed aloud
So surreal their yellow submarine
Like strawberries and cream, the classic dream
Revolution was there within their sights
As evolution rocked on into the night
There was hope for a better place
With an ounce of faith, and a pinch of heart
There wore tears along the way
As they watched
The innocence children in the fields, play
As they watched they played their song
While others watched and sang along
All along the watchtower some would say
That jimmy was the best, but who could say
As it all turn to dust, in the delicate haze
Lost to the world in that infamous maze
