To Heavy To Hold
To heavy to hold this heart of mine
With this notion are my thoughts
Simply just a state of mind
To mark my passage in this place in time
To this my heart, I know I must be true
I could never of hope to find, a girl like you
For in my dreams, I have always noticed you
Beside the brook where the rivers blend
Is it lucky to hold ones heart in my hand
As the hours pass like the grains of sand
For in the lonely hours as the soul mends
Shall I surrender to the bitter cold
Beside the rim of this paper cup
Will I take my place before heavens plate
Till the morning light of the new day break
For what light shall come to fade the grey
Beyond my thoughts in this shimmering haze
Is my mind caught up within this endless maze
Admits the seeds of these coldest days
