Twist Of Faith
A long and winding road I've walked
I have worn through many shoes
The faint of heart have departed this place
Beneath the sanctity of our race
Beset by stone besieged by faith
Is this twist a leap of faith?
Or am I lost within this pointless waste
Amidst the spoils they wade and toil
Upon the grain of forbidden soil
Beneath the seed of a blossoming sun
To linger here by the power of one
To this light where will they run
For in the distance a faded hum
Nowhere to turn as the fire burns
Before the stars that burn so bright
Are we the seeds before the light?
As we pass so gently
Through the endless night
