Vixens of The Overture
Whisper softly among the leaves
Silent whispers in the eves
For none have felt a gently hand
Among the shadows where I stand
Beseech me not in hollowed stone
For there are footprints where I’ve roamed
Pleasant be those earthly pleasures
That I adore at my leisure
Beside the candle and its flame
I feel your presence in my veins
Vixens of the overture
It is you and I am sure
Shall I breed before I break
For I am shallow beside the lake
Foolish footsteps in the snow
Mark the passage to my home
Is it true that thou have roamed
Echo whispers all alone
Shallow be thy sheltered tears
That relinquishes all my hidden fears
Fear not and venture forth
For there are secrets hidden in the north
