Winter
As the howling winds rip past the high rises
As the snow begins to fall
Grey clouds filled with lightning
Delivers the winter fury to us all
As day falls into night
The chilling bite of winter grips the city
As the snow fall passes by the city lights
Snow settles on the roof tops and on the city streets
Turning this city once filled with colour
Into a city filled with white
As the hail hits my window
I watch the storm outside
The river freezes over
On the coldest night
And when the storm is over
And the sunrise meets the dawn
The only thing in sight
Is the city left behind
Surrounded by the snow fall
That left the city white| Poetry 1 | Poetry 2 | Poetry 3 | Poetry 4 || Poetry 5 | Poetry 6 | Poetry 7 | Poetry 8 |
