With The Sound Of My Heart

Adorn with the sound of my heart song
How could I surrender and not sing along
Bequeath me this right and I'll give a rhyme
I haven't got time for nickles or dimes

Arrogant sometimes I may be
But when it counts I'll honour thee
I've slain the ventures of my heart
And felt the tears that have depart

I've sang with the sounds of joy
And remembered when I was just a little boy
And now I have become so much older
And in my mind, I am a little bolder
As I was back then
And still I remember old school friends

And now I count my blessings, for what I have achieved
Adorned with the markings that line my sleeves

My loving wife and my two wee boys
And watching them play with all of their toys
