Would You

If we took a little time to watch the roses in bloom would you have even noticed how the leaves fall from the trees upon the mid autumn breeze in the cool, light of day would you even see the warmth within a strangers smile

Would You

If we took a little time to watch the roses in bloom
Would you have even noticed how the leaves fall from the trees?
Upon the mid autumn breeze in the cool, light of day
Would you even see the warmth within a strangers smile?
As you pass each other on the street
Amongst the sounds of shuffling feet

Would the stars shine so bright
Within the evening sky
If we only had this moment
To glimpse upon the heavens
Before the light dims before our eyes
To only linger here in solitude
Before the light of day

Would you even stop to think awhile?
Before your thoughts vanished within the haze
Would you take this moment?
To cherish your loving heart
To take one breath and honour life
Before you turn and walk away
