As I Breathe

My body bleeds and my heart is broken
Gathered thoughts, mingle in my mind
Say I was a super star,
Would I know my sense of valour

Where I've been I know so well
And there are thoughts I leave behind
As I breathe, the new breath in
Am I a lonely candle in the wind?

Lonely hearts I long to beckon
Truer thoughts are intertwined
Bound in passage, felt in verse
Shattered thoughts are left behind

Mirrored reflections, marvel thoughts
Lonely passage of my heart
How I've been, and come so far
Walking alone, beneath these stars

Daylight brings, a new horizon
Beneath the ebb of heavenly glow
