By Nuts & Bolts, And Sugar & Oats

Teddy found Freddy but his heart was heavy
Problem was he thought he was the hopscotch goblin

To heavy to hold, too faint at heart
Before the game was due to start

The things you do, and things you don't
By nuts & bolts, and sugar & oats
Extracted by them one bucket of bolts
That Jenny had rolled in honey and oats

But who would stay and who would go
Before the words of Tic, Tac, Toe
Time was theirs but of the essence
As the minstrel played among the peasants

And all alone when he got home
Terence played on the old trombone
Nowhere to run and nowhere to roam
For in his heart, he had found his home
