Beside Still Waters

I had once lived in adversity
And in that thought, a moment in time
Even though I felt my own humility
There was grandeur in my mind

Beside Still Waters

I had once lived in adversity
And in that thought, a moment in time
Even though I felt my own humility
There was grandeur in my mind
For my heart yearned in as much, as pleasure
As I had heard the birds in flight
I had also felt the hardship, among the beggars
Among the shadows there are thoughts purged in light
Once as it was back then
We held one another, through thick and thin
I remember way back when
As we walked the shores, as fellow kin
My own heart in hefted rhyme
Beside still waters, whispers chime
