Cold, Cold Light Of Day

I have known my feelings, I have felt the breath of life
I have watched the light within
And I have watched the world outside
Cold within life's confusion
Illusion a lesson learned

Am l lost within this heart of stone
As I watch the fires burn
Grey clouds hang high above me
As the rivers flow into the sea
Is anyone aware that I walk the lonely streets at night

Like the stars of the heavens
I feel the tears that weep in silence
Like the rains that slip away
Am I lost within the darkness
Am I lost within the cold, cold light of day
