Sonnet: Carry Me Forth
Carry me forth, by virtue of my wings
Beyond the world of earthly whims
Hear my voice beneath, where the angels sing
Heavenly sounds, hear me wherein
Muse, I'll be among the daylight
Lucifer flee this dwelling, I call my haven
Silhouette, I'll be among the moonlight
Unlike the owl, I am a raven
Carry me through the valley of kings
No dowry, beside the river
Nor wed among the leafy springs
Slowly ebbed among the slivers
Shimmer softly, sea of golden tears
Through the passage, of my years
