For One Moment

I remember, when this was virgin land
No footsteps had soiled these sands
In distant lands, the mortars plays
The sinners beg, while lovers pray

For One Moment

I remember, when this was virgin land
No footsteps had soiled these sands
In distant lands, the mortars plays
The sinners beg, while lovers pray

My heart is hallowed, but it’s heavy
Sombre tears inside I shed
Yes I’m unshaven, but I’m not yeti

Say it with a song
Even when the day seems long
Weary are the streets ahead
Bound are we by earthly threads

For one moment, a glimpse in time
A silent whisper, amongst the chimes
Heaven waits with open hands
With these words I understand

No man be greater, then any other
No love is closer, then my lover
With these words, I know my brother

It’s not fair, to beg and plead
Sultans laugh, alone they breed
