Masquerade
I was in the shadows peering through the wind
Looking lonely as the world beneath me began to spin
Were we ever happy in this lonely masquerade
As I listen softly to your silky serenade
Caught beneath a landslide as my thoughts come flooding in
Uttering, so softly as the world are around me grins
My breath, to seed my body, you’re the reason
Seasons change among the season
One step in the shadows and I feel you deep within
My dreams to light the candles as I think of you therein
One had deemed the day of love tethered by the stars above
Masquerade, beside the sea of love
Once upon a time I was whole, now I’m lost in bitter cold
No lost faith upon my pillow, even when the willow’s old
My rustic look with gentle eyes, swept away in paradise
Cherished is the heart in which I creed
My life is barren, sense of dread
Lonely in this masquerade, in which we truly live
Fallen footsteps, pebbled sands
Fallen teardrops echo clans
