Midnight Silence
Midnight silence sheltered fears
Silence echoes forgotten years
Echoed whispers cloud my heart
Bring forth the tears upon which I seldom part
Have I known thy warmth in light
Basking in your pure delight
Delightful are the morning rays
Surrendering dawn upon this day
In the daylight I am humble
Heaven knows the tears I’ve tumbled
Twilight lingers in the wind
How can I be free from sin?
No true burdens plague my heart
Beside the sound of heavens harp
Angels sing in sombre rings
To honour life before the king
Sacred be thy heart this night
Basion of this urban light
Amidst the sea of celestial spears
There are sounds of sombre tears
Hew the heart beneath the day
Sombre mourn in disarray
Signifying love upon this place
Morning sunlight upon my face
Mirrored reflections, I can’t replace
Within my heart I sense my faith
