My Body
My eyes are a shade of blue
Beneath the sky, when daylights through
My face is worn,
Beneath the tears of distant storms
My body aches
Beneath the light that heaven makes
My treasured skin
Shields the heart! I'm living in
My withered bones
Mark the scars! That I have known
My hidden thoughts
Mark the lessons! I've been taught
My body breathes
Holds the fear! I'm living with
My tired eyes
Hold the markings of my sighs
My body's weak
Listen as my heart now speaks
My light has dimmed
Because of all my gentle whims
My loving heart
Is filled with all the tears, which I impart!
My tethered breath
Hides the lie! I'm living with
