Sultans Of The Urban Fire
Sultans of the urban fire
Quill the hand of my desire
Fetch in thee, as I seek in you
Alas I've known my heart is true
Flash away these urban blues
Read a passage in the news
Senseless as my life appeared
I heard a voice while others cheered
Was I called before the heathen songs
Or was I lost among the wrongs
To see the raven take its flight
Basin of the urban night
Cheers were heard among the fields
While I counted blessings of my yield
Fools would speak with feeble tongues
Alas I know the noble one
One day in life, my beautiful wife
And the children came to change my life
Once I was the battered torn
Among the shadow, I was scorn| Poetry 1 | Poetry 2 | Poetry 3 | Poetry 4 || Poetry 5 | Poetry 6 | Poetry 7 | Poetry 8 |
