Swept Away By Tidal Fury

Frozen footsteps, swept away by tidal fury
No rivers dance upon my tongue
My heart beads, like fallen teardrops from the sky
One thought and I am torn, echoed whisper in their swarm

Hue, the day in dim light, beneath the clouds in heavens cleft
Shallow be thy burdens, battles fought upon my heart
Vestige, be my concubine, whisper shadows in the night
Quest be the taken, shadows forth and I am shaken

Pebbled seeds like shifting sands, cuts are ebbed upon my hands
Hark ye herald angel, heavenly hymns
No blaspheme bleeds upon my bones

Bastard of forbidden lust, upon thy gate, I turn to rust
Riddled with these forbidden thoughts
Caught among thy beauty, noble flower be thy rose
No rose has risen me high heaven knows, my hearts desire

Hark ye herald angel yes sing! Rather like the day is dim
Caught among the flames of pure desire
What love has known such lust, past these thoughts, that I entrust!
Deem she be thy mystic lover, love adorn unlike another
