To Thee "O" Lord
Sombre morning in the hue
Beneath the light, in front of you
Betwixt, by my own hand
There is hope you'll understand
One moment caught in time
Borders on the light divine
And there are thoughts that never end
That reminds me of you my friend
So the day is long
Passing through the meadow on the Somme
Where poppies reach towards the trees
And birds gather on the breeze
May I jest in thee, at this time?
Sounding borderline in this rhyme
My heart yearns to thee "O" lord
Where angels sing a certain chord
Betwixt, thy life to be with me
For I have come to honour thee
Thou hath, been in thy own place
Never change thy loving face
For we are the same beneath the skin
And god is open to his kin
