Wind Swept Mountains, River Streams

One day in life and I reflect
Are there thoughts that I project?
Many lingering thoughts entwine
And there are times they cloud my mind

Wind Swept Mountains, River Streams

One day in life and I reflect
Are there thoughts that I project?
Many lingering thoughts entwine
And there are times they cloud my mind

What if I could contemplate?
The world around and see its fate
As we dwell beneath the sun
Through the fields as we run

I have watched the children play
As I’ve watched the morning rain
Are we aware of our yielding sum?
Nestled in these earthly crumbs

Acid rain falls from the sky
Beneath the heavens, I wonder why
For there is soil as red as blood
As the earth is shaken with a thud

Wind swept mountains, river streams
Whispered echoes within my dreams
Why have thou forsaken me
As I had come to honour thee
